This day started as we raced to a developing supercell southeast of Amarillo Texas. We got under the base around the time it went tornado warned but we did not see any serious attempt at tornadogenesis. We decided to bail from the storm because of the terrible road network and thick precip core. We drove south to a developing supercell that was rain-free and chaser-free. Seeing that all the chasers stayed on the northern storm, we were given a fantastic show with no one around. After hanging out under the base of the cell for a while and seeing it attempt to develop funnels we watched it head out over open fields and eventually develop a funnel as the meso occluded.
