Tornado Alley Chasing is an immersive and educational storm chasing experience for weather enthusiasts and storm chasers that want to learn how to chase severe weather. No experience? No problem! My name is David Williams, and my mission is to educate people from around the world that want to learn to forecast and chase tornadoes. I teach those that sign up with me meteorology, forecasting, and how to chase safely and successfully. For those established chasers that live overseas, I welcome you to join me as a storm chasing partner. Tornado Alley has some of the wildest and most photogenic weather on Earth, and I want you to have an active and immersive experience chasing it. I lead small, enthusiastic groups that rely on each other for a fun, educational, and memorable experience. If you lack storm chasing or forecasting experience, but you want to learn, then I can teach you. I love chasing severe weather, and I want those that share my passion to have an opportunity to pursue it!

When comparing storm chasing tours and experiences, I offer a superior chase experience that is grounded in education and active engagement. - Outstanding price - In comparison to all other storm chasing companies that charge an average of $400 per day, I only charge $150 a day. My mission is to provide an affordable experience for people interested in storm chasing.
- 10 Years of Experience Leading Groups - In addition to the 25 years of storm chasing experience I have accumulated, I have 10 years of experience leading and teaching groups of new and experienced storm chasers.
- Small groups - I take a maximum of three guests. This provides an opportunity for the group to develop close relationships, learn an incredible amount of content knowledge, and rely on each other during heated chase experiences.
- I screen all potential chasers - That's right! I have a video chat/interview with every person that joins me in order to make sure they are of sound body and mind and a good fit for the group.
- You get a bed to yourself - Surprised to hear that? Well you shouldn't be. Most storm chasing tour companies require guests to share beds. That's 4 people per hotel room. When chasing with me, you will share a room with one other chaser and get a queen bed to yourself in a comfortable hotel. No dilapidated, scary motels for us.
- Superior instruction in a small-group setting - My 20 years of teaching experience allows me to offer a superior teaching and learning environment. I teach the chasers that join me the 3 main disciplines of meteorology, forecasting, and radar interpretation and how to apply those disciplines while actively chasing severe weather. We discuss, interpret and learn about meteorological principles, forecasting techniques, and all the models and data that are used for tracking and finding severe weather and tornadoes. You will not receive the same level of one-on-one instruction from other chasing experiences.
- Active participation - You are a storm chaser when you join me. This is not a tour! Unlike other storm chasing tour experiences where you ride passively along, you will be an active participant in the chase, and I will consider you a chase partner. You will check radar, monitor satellite imagery and surface observations, maintain situational awareness of the storm and our position, check roads and maps, and deploy the hail shield. You will experience first-hand what it's like to chase!

I personally speak with everyone that joins me to meet my potential group members, describe expectations, and ensure group members are mentally and physically prepared. I do not accept bookings before an initial video meeting.
