Training.
Can't make it to Tornado Alley yet? I bring the forecasting room to your screen. Personalised, informal, and built around exactly what you want to learn.
- 1 hour screen-sharing session
- Beginner, intermediate & advanced topics
- Choose your own weather topics of interest
- Structured lesson format available if preferred
- Informal atmosphere with comprehensive learning
- Severe weather forecasting specialization
Because sessions are online, payment is limited to methods that can be handled remotely: bank transfer, Venmo, Zelle, credit card, and debit card. In-person-only methods like Apple Pay and other electronic wallets aren't available for training.
Learn Weather.

What You Can Learn.
Sessions span all levels. Beginners start with the basics; advanced students go deeper into operational forecasting techniques used in the field.
Meteorology Fundamentals
Introduction to weather systems, atmospheric instability, and how severe storms form. No prior knowledge needed.
Severe Weather Recognition
Learning to identify supercell characteristics, wall clouds, rotating updrafts, and the visual cues that indicate tornado risk.
Storm Forecasting
Reading SPC outlooks, mesoscale discussions, and model data. Understanding what makes a day worth chasing.
Skew-T Diagrams
Interpreting atmospheric soundings, CAPE, CIN, lifted index, hodographs, and how they translate to tornado potential in the field.
Upper Air Chart Analysis
500mb charts, jet stream positioning, vorticity, and how upper-level dynamics set up surface severe weather patterns.
Your Topics
No fixed agenda required. If you have specific topics you want to cover, from hail forecasting to nowcasting techniques, just bring them.
- All levels of severe weather forecasting
- Supercells, hail, and tornado meteorology
- Skew-T and upper air chart interpretation
- Operational chase day forecasting
- Radar interpretation and storm-relative motion
- Custom topics of your choosing
- I am not a professional meteorologist or university professor
- Cannot assist with thermodynamic equations or advanced academic theory
- Does not cover monsoons, hurricanes, tropical storms, or winter weather
My strength is in applied, operational severe weather knowledge gained from 20+ years in the field, not academic meteorology.
I learned more from David in the first few hours than months of study on my own.
Your morning and evening forecasting sessions were incredible and taught me so much more.
