Chasing
With Me.
You're not watching from the tour van. You're in the data, in the decisions, and in the storm. I bring you in as a genuine chase partner from day one.

- All experience levels welcome
- Morning & evening forecasting sessions
- Video interview required before booking
- Queen bed hotel room per person
- Chase across USA & Canada
Partners,
Not Passengers.
Welcome to the team. Unlike most storm chasing tours that bring you along for the ride, I want to make you part of my team. My goal is to teach you the complete art and science of chasing, and I believe the best storm chasing happens while working together. From morning forecasting and radar analysis to making tactical real-time decisions on the road, I want you to participate in the chase. Whether you're brand new to weather or an experienced chaser, you'll learn and apply hands-on skills, develop a deep meteorological knowledge, and experience how a chase comes together.
When you chase with me, you're not just along for the ride, you are a vital part of a supportive team. My focus is on building a friendly, collaborative environment where everyone looks out for one another and contributes to the journey. We are learning, communicating, and chasing together.
Joining our group means sharing in both the excitement and the responsibility. Everyone has an active role to play and a chance to learn. Even when an incredible tornado is in view, our navigator stays focused on checking road options and giving safe directions, so the whole group stays in the best position. Every role matters, and every contribution helps the team succeed.
We will primarily be forecasting and chasing tornadoes, but incredible structure (I hope so!), hail, and lightning will be a part of the experience. Whether you have zero forecasting and meteorology background or years of experience, you are welcome here. If you're excited to learn, collaborate, and share unforgettable experiences with a great group of people, we'd love to have you on the team. I love chasing severe weather, and I want those that share my passion to have an opportunity to pursue it!

Storm chasing is a dangerous and potentially deadly activity. All participants must sign an assumption of risk waiver prior to any chase activity. I will not put guests in unnecessarily dangerous situations, but conditions are always unpredictable and real hazard is inherent to the experience.
Meet The Stormtrooper.
The Stormtrooper isn't a rental van with a magnet sign on the door. It's a lifted, off-road-capable Toyota 4Runner built specifically for storm chasing: deployable hail shields, a full multi-device radar suite, and Starlink plus hotspot WiFi so we never lose data in the middle of nowhere.
That capability matters. Tornado Alley's best positioning is often down a muddy section road that would strand a two-wheel-drive tour van. When the storm goes off the pavement, we can follow it, safely, and with live radar the whole way.

You'll Walk Away Knowing More.
I have 20 years of teaching experience. Education is built into every day in the field.
Morning Forecasting
Every chase day begins with a deep dive into the models, SPC outlooks, upper air charts, hodographs, and Skew-T diagrams. You learn to read what the atmosphere is telling you.
Real-Time Radar
In the vehicle with live data, multiple radar devices, Starlink connectivity, and my live commentary on what the storm is doing and why each positioning decision is made.
Evening Debrief
After each chase, I walk through what happened, what the models got right, what was missed, what the storm did. Learning that sticks because you were there for every second of it.
Your morning and evening forecasting sessions were incredible and taught me so much more.
David's knowledge of meteorology is off the charts. His teaching methods are 1st-rate.
