This was a completely unexpected though very fun chase! Matic and I were driving from California to Texas. We stopped at a Starbucks and decided to forecast for the fun of it. We checked radar and a severe storm was only about 30 minutes from us. We did not anticipate any chasing since we were still trying to make it to the high plains. However, this fun, impromptu chase gave us about 2 hours of hail core intercepting.
