Daily Fee and Expenses

I charge $150 per day for each storm chaser that joins me (see Dates for my schedule). Half of the total fee is paid 4 months before our chase trip begins and the other half is paid 2 months before our chase trip begins. The fee does not include the $300 deposit to hold your seat. Below, are the expenses you can assume you will accumulate on a typical day. 

On an average chase day, each chaser will pay an equal portion for gas and hotels and can expect to pay roughly:

• $30 for gas 
• $50 to $100 on Hotel - You will share a room with another chaser, but you will have your own bed. We usually stay at reliable, safe, and comfortable hotels that provide reliable wifi, complimentary breakfast, and a pool or gym.​
• In total, expect to pay around $100 to $130 per day; although, costs will fluctuate daily and heavily depend on total amount of driving, hotel location, number of chasers in the vehicle, tolls, etc.

You will be financially responsible for:

• Food (We usually get free breakfast every morning at the hotel)
• Airline tickets to Denver
• ​Souvenirs and personal items

Booking Your Trip

It is important to me, and the other chasers, that you confirm your dates for chasing. You can do that by scheduling a video chat with me by emailing me at [email protected], and if I agree to have you in one of our small groups, you can put down a $300 deposit. This will ensure that you get a spot in the vehicle. ​
