Had to drive to New Mexico to start our chase. Had a few cells develop near the NM/TX border. The cells were slow to start, and when we saw a southern cell develop, we went for it. Our hopes of it being the dominant tail-end Charlie were dashed when it quickly shriveled up and died. We then played a long game of catch up to the primary cell that was now much farther east of us. Our tenacity paid off because we were treated to some beautiful structure.
