We saw a tornado in Canada! This day was pretty cool because it was our first chase in Canada and we got lucky and saw a brief cone tornado! The forecast looked apocalyptic, but it's 2018, so the tornado outbreak just turned out to be a supercell outbreak with large hail. We chose a beastly cell that was riding the US/Canada border. We stayed on the Canada side and were able to position ourselves in the inflow notch long enough to get a short-lived tornado and the only tornado of the day. It was a difficult chase, though. The storm was moving about 50 mph, so we were forced to drive as fast as possible on dirt/gravel roads in order to stop and take pictures for about 2 minutes before having to jump in the Stormtrooper to blast east again.
